Have you read this amazing memoir? It came out a few years ago but still has me going back to it over and over again. Glennon Doyle 's UNTAMED is this month's pick for review. Check it out!

I am going to start this by being quite transparent—I am a huge Glennon Doyle fan. So my opinion is more bias than usual. I have actually been avoiding a review on this book because it is a bit sacred to me and I just wa...

This month's book is a doozy... but so necessary! Author Kelly McDaniel LPC, NCC has laid out a beautiful explanation of a hard topic, Mother Hunger. You have to read it to understand it. I basically highlighted the whole book.

I've always said that parenting, especially being a mother, is one of the most highly criticized roles one could ever have. And there are loads of theories and books about how all of our problems stem from our mothers, r...

Infidelity. So many thoughts and feelings come up when we hear this term. This month I read and review Esther Perel's book “The State of Affairs: Rethinking Infidelity” to understand more.
Spoiler alert: This is a MUST read for professionals working with couples!

Infidelity. A word that is so charged with emotion but also so different across situations and contexts. If you have experienced it before, just reading the word may create a pit in your stomach, making it a necessary to...

This month I FINALLY picked up The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz. This book has been talked about by so many of my colleagues I’m shocked I haven’t read it until now.
Coming in at a little over 100 pgs, this is a simple quick read with a big challenging message. There is a spiritual aspect that may or may not fit with you, but the message stands on its own.

I have heard nothing but positive reviews about this book and I have had a copy sitting on my shelves for years, left unread. This was the month to finally break that trend. I had no idea what I was about to read, other ...

Just beginning a conversation about burnout makes me cringe because it can feel so overwhelming just to start. This was the opposite. This was refreshing from the start.
This month I feature the self-help book “Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle” by Dr. Emily and Amelia Nagoski.

At this point in life and the ongoing pandemic, I feel confident saying we have all heard of the term burnout. I also feel confident saying we have probably all have experienced burnout to some degree, especially over th...

Understanding yourself and your past can be so important when you become a parent and positively impact how you parent. This month I review "Parenting from the Inside Out" by Dr. Dan Siegel and M. Hartzell. Check it out!

Parenting is hard—being responsible for tiny humans, accountable for raising compassionate and resilient children, all while trying not to repeat the mistakes of their parents or their past. No parent is perfect, but eve...
