Can I be personal for a quick sec 🫶🏽🫣

I stopped at CVS the other day to pick up this card for one of my wonderful older clients’ birthday; she’s always so sweet and intentional on my birthday and holidays every year since she’s been with me so I wanted to be sure to reciprocate that. I spent about 7-10 minutes reading through the cards because I like to get the RIGHT card and I’ll know it when I read it.

I got so emotional at one point realizing this is something I used to do for my mom. Every birthday, Mother’s Day, holiday or when I knew she needed a pick me up I’d go to target and sit on the floor if my knees gave out 😩😂 because I didn’t care how long it took me I was finding THE perfect card for her. My mom was such a sentimental person and she really appreciated things like this so knowing that it just really warmed my heart to do things that made her feel so thought of and so loved.

I miss her so much and as I was getting this card I realized that I don’t have her to do these things for any longer but God sent me so many wonderful clients who carry such a motherly and nurturing spirit. He sent me women to continue to show that love to as I used to my mom and in turn these same women pour to me in ways I’m not sure they realize. They’ve been a safe space, a listening ear and in a lot of ways
The rock my mom was for me. 🥺

I am recognizing all the ways God made sure I’d be okay before my mom left to be with Him. How he covered all bases, even in the little things and I am so grateful. 🤍🤍

When I first transitioned to hair full time told me that it was BIGGER THAN HAIR and that God would use me to minister to those in my chair and that he would use them to minister to me and I have never seen this more true than over the last year and a half.

Just wanted to share a little something on my heart ☺️ I appreciate all of my clients so much for so many reasons beyond just choosing my chair and trusting my hands 💐💐
