Would you like to recognize your school nurse? Nominate your nurse for the 2025-2026 School Nurse of the Year Award! Each year, our Long Beach School Nurse Association recognizes one special nurse for outstanding contributions to the health and well-being of students.

To nominate a school nurse whom you feel is deserving of this award, please complete our online nomination form by Friday April 17th, 2026 at 4 p.m. Link in bio.

Nominees will be announced in May. Winner will be recognized on our annual LBSNA Spring Soiree.

It’s almost National School Nurse Day! 🤩🥳🥰

This year, we celebrate our school nurses on Wednesday, MAY 7, 2025, during National Nurses Week (May 6–12).

Since 1972, School Nurse Day has honored the vital role school nurses play in keeping students healthy, in school, and ready to learn.

School nurses do so much more than ice packs and Band-Aids. From chronic conditions to crisis response, they’re the calm in the midst of chaos.

During Teacher Appreciation Week, don’t forget your school nurses! They are on the frontlines of student success!
