Went to the American Association of Clinical Endocrinology Conference. Took our clinical team to learn on the latest and greatest treatment options. Our goal is always to give the newest, evidence based, safest treatments and advice to our patients. Our team not only goes to these conference but also participate in weekly conferences, led by Dr. Echeverry-Franck, with our rotating medical students and residents to keep up with the explosion of new science in the field of endocrinology.

Wonderful time with my favorite people. We are geering up to have an outstanding 2026! New, bigger, better office in Lynwood, Ca. More staff ans a great team of nurse practioners who are dedicated to our communities and endocrinology. A new endocrine educational series! More to come. Happy New Year Everyone!

We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved Nancy Perley, a dedicated Nurse Practitioner. Her unwavering commitment to patient care touched countless lives throughout her dedicated career. Nancy's compassionate spirit and clinical acumen were truly special. She approached her work with profound empathy and a genuine desire to make a difference. Her absence will be keenly felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A tough year of trying to get so much in. I had to retake my boards and it was so tough, I studied so much but still felt like it wasn't enough. I was so worried about having to do again. So many people sacrificed for me, including my patients. I wouldn't of been able to do this feat without my beautiful staff at LA Endocrine Care, my family, my dad who is my biggest cheerleader. Thank you all for the positive comments and praying for me. Thank you🙏. 2026 is going to be a year of growth for LA Endocrine Care. We will be a force to reckon with in Los Angeles and I will start my journey of teaching the next generation.

An update on our Long Beach Office: one of our Nurse Practitioners, Gary, has departed to pursue other opportunities. We extend our best wishes to him. We are actively seeking a replacement and, in the interim, are making every effort to accommodate his patients. Dr. Echeverry-Franck has assumed care for many of his patients, with support from our experienced Nurse Practitioner, Nancy Perley, who brings over 30 years of expertise to our team. Additionally, our clinical pharmacist, who is bilingual and highly invested in diabetes care, will also contribute to patient care under Dr. Echeverry's supervision. One of Dr. Echeverry-Franck's objectives is to undertake a comprehensive update on all Endocrinology topics through attendance at multiple conferences and reviews this year. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our current patients. We are committed to maintaining the high standards of our practice and are confident that even better developments are forthcoming.

I always tell my patients that you need to move in addition to exercise to lose weight, an example I always bring up is how children when they're little especially when they're thin, all they do is move, and they can't sit still, for example, they're walking down the street and they're skipping or doing cartwheels. As we get older, we stop moving as much. And we start gaining weight. No, I'm not saying let's do cart wheels as we walk down the street, but let's get up and move. Any extra activity we do during the day counts towards our health, especially improving our cardiovascular health. This gives us an edge on weight loss. So adding steps to your day, sitting and standing more.....all counts to improved health.
