LA County is considering the future of Measure J, which voters approved in 2020 to allocate funding for community services rather than incarceration.

To learn more and share your thoughts, you can attend a listening session in South Whittier on Dec. 9, or in Long Beach on Dec. 15.

Love Beyond Limits

Love Beyond Limits was founded in 2009 by Maleka Chris. What originally began as a way to provide a safe place for her daughters and their friends to spend time grew into a full mentoring program, a published workbook titled “The 13 Stones”, and an organization that produces numerous annual events that provide meals and school supplies to our local families.

Love Beyond Limits is the proud recipient of the 2019 California Nonprofit of the Year Award. Our Founder, Maleka, was awarded the 2018 Long Beach Hero Award from Justin Rudd and the 2019 Distinguished Woman Award from California Assembly Member District 70, Patrick O’Donnell.
