Time to Meditate: Meet your Spirit Animal

Many people who have taken my in-person and online live classes have told me that they especially enjoy my meditations and guided journeys so I decided to start recording some of these meditations and offering them for free on my YouTube channel.

Partake of this free offering to take a journey into other realms and speak with an animal spirit who can guide you and assist you on your journey. Working with animal, plant, and rock people is a part of my tradition. Having allies in these other kingdoms can be so helpful. We are just humans after all. We need all the help we can get! I have two animals I work with closely- the hawk and the turtle. At different times in my life, different animals have shown up to guide me or remind me of something I needed to know at that time. When we open ourselves up to receiving messages and guidance from plants, animals, rocks, and spirits in other realms there is so much we can learn.

People joke about spirit animals a lot. It has become a meme, a joke, a t-shirt line to say that everything and everyone is your spirit animal. It's okay to have fun with it but spirit animals are also real, they come from real [Indigenous] traditions, and they are our helpmates. They honor us when they choose to speak with us. We would be wise to listen to them. The Divine manifests in so many ways and we are always in need of messages and guidance from the Creator.

Why not listen to our animal brothers and sisters when they speak to us in person or in our dreams and visions?

Whether you're a seasoned meditator or new to the practice, this soothing session will help you tap into your inner wisdom and uncover the symbolism and guidance your spirit animal offers. I had fun talking to Issac and Ace, the hosts of the podcast, Plant Cunning. While the main focus of their program is herbalism and herbal medicine, they like to have guests on their show who can talk about a wide range of topics related to healing. What many people don't realize is that I got my start in herbalism. My great-grandmother knew about herbs and she started training me when I was a child. After she died she came back and continued to train me from the other side. When I was in my 20s all of my friends used to come over to my apt when they were sick and I would make them herbal teas. Later I got more training on herbs from teachers in Jamaica and Trinidad. As a medical intuitive, I often recommend herbs that I pick up intuitively for my clients.
