Sometimes the impact of what we do goes far beyond vision.

Recently, a patient who had vision correction surgery at Lucent Vision surprised Dr. Pathak with this incredible oil painting. Shortly after his surgery, he completed a film without glasses that inspired this artwork — and as a gesture of gratitude, he spent an entire month painting this piece.

Moments like this remind us why we do what we do.

Helping someone see clearly again can change how they experience the world, their work, and their creativity. Knowing that our work inspired something this meaningful is truly priceless.

Even more remarkable — this talented artist has also painted a portrait for a former U.S. president that now hangs in the White House.

We’re incredibly grateful to care for such inspiring patients.
