Is your mind feeling overwhelming, like it never really stops?

If so, you’ll want to read this one!

The mind seems to always be thinking, analyzing, replaying, and pulling you in different directions.

So you try to control it. You try to quiet every thought, or fix what feels uncomfortable.

But growth doesn’t quite work that way.

A common misconception is that you need to stop the mind— But actually you just need to understand it.

The truth is, thoughts will always arise.
You can catch them, though, so they don’t define you.

Vṛtti invites a different relationship with your mind
than the one we all often fall into.

No control is needed, just something you can observe.

This is the shift from identifying with every thought
to witnessing what’s moving within you.

This can create such a powerful transformation in your life! 👏

Swipe through to explore this week’s Sanskrit Word of the Week: Vṛtti (वृत्ति)

Then take a moment:
💬 What thought pattern do you keep repeating, and is it actually true?

The mind can feel overwhelming.
Like something we need to control, fix, or quiet.

So we try to manage every thought.
We try to push away what feels uncomfortable and hold onto what feels good.

But growth doesn’t quite work that way.
It asks for awareness; not control.

The truth is, your experience is shaped not just by what happens, but by how your mind processes it.

Citta invites a different relationship with the mind than the one we often default to.

Your mind isn’t something to fight. Rather, it’s something to understand.
A constantly shifting inner landscape of thoughts, memories, and patterns.

This is the shift from reacting to everything you think to observing what’s moving within you.

Community matters more than ever.

In uncertain and heavy times, it’s easy to turn inward in isolation. But yoga reminds us that healing and steadiness often happen together in shared spaces, shared breath, and shared intention.

This is one of the reasons we continue to gather for Satsang & Kirtan.

Through simple call-and-response chanting, we gather our voices, soften the mind, and reconnect with something deeper than our individual worries.

You don’t need to know the mantras.
You don’t need to be a singer.
You don’t even need to understand Sanskrit.

All that’s required is a willingness to sit together, listen, and allow the heart to open.
Because feeling love in the heart is important.
Devotion to something greater than our individual worries is important.
Remembering our connection to one another is important.

Join us for Satsang & Kirtan every 2nd & 4th Friday of the month.
Upcoming dates → March 27th & April 10th.

We’ll chant together, share a nourishing vegan meal, and spend time in good company.

Come as you are.
There is space for you here!

Certainty can feel safe.

It gives us structure. Identity. A sense of control. But it can also quietly close the door to growth. Because the moment we believe we already understand, that we already know, we stop listening.

Jijñāsā invites a different posture.

Not one of doubt…but of openness.

The willingness to be shaped by what we don’t yet know.

It’s the shift from needing to be right to wanting to understand 👏this can be so powerful in your life👏 .
