Breakthrough in the South

There you are you stubborn story
You thought you could slip
Behind the curtain of my mind
Unnoticed in the birdsong dawn
Cacophony
But I was watching
Watching the dance
Of buoyancy and density
As water reached the boiling point
So too you floated to the surface
Where I could pluck you up
See you for what you are
Oh I recognize your seductive ways
Like a slick pair of stockings
The sly insinuation
Of doubt and sin and guilt
Oh yes I know your ways
Of finding fault where no fault lies
Oh no the purview of fault
Lies with earth
My soul's tectonic plates are drifting
Parts are lifting out of the way
Parts are shifting sliding open
Oh pandora
What lies in the box is anaerobic
Dying drying in the air
And light of day
