JFCS of Long Beach & Orange County

JFCS of Long Beach & Orange County The vision of JFCS is a community healed, one person, one family at a time.

Our mission is to empower people to make positive changes through professional, affordable counseling and social services. We serve everyone in the entire community, without regard for religion, ethnicity, socioeconomic status, disability, or sexual orientation. JFCS is the only agency in Long Beach/South Bay/Orange County area that serves the entire life cycle, ages 4-104, on a sliding fee scale. We work with individuals, couples, families to address a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, loss, trauma, anger, grief, and stress. We offer the comfort of knowing that one need not face life's challenges, or celebrate life's victories, alone.

We are very grateful to have attended this luncheon yesterday celebrating 40 Years of National Philanthropy Day in Orange County! πŸ’–

Organized since the 1980s, this day continues to remind us of the power of collective generosity. Congratulations to all the honorees! Your commitment to making a positive impact is deeply inspiring.

At JFCS, philanthropy allows us to provide vital mental health and social services in our community. As the end of the year approaches, please consider making a financial gift to help us continue this legacy of service. Every gift makes a difference!

We are deeply honored! πŸ† Yesterday, we accepted recognition for our community service at the 44th Annual Festival of Music Benefit Concert hosted by the South Coast Interfaith Council (SCIC).

For over six decades, our organization has been a vital community resource across Long Beach and now in Orange County. Our services include low-income counseling, older-adult case management, home care, refugee and Holocaust survivor assistance, and emergency support to individuals and families of all backgrounds. We are rooted in Jewish values, but open to all. πŸ’–

A huge thank you to the SCIC for this incredible recognition and for their tireless mission to promote mutual understanding, respect, and service across Southern California!🀝

πŸ•Š It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we share the passing of Lynne Kass, the beloved wife of our JFCSLBOC Board member and President-elect, Jonathan Kass. May her memory be a blessing.

πŸ•― Lynne was an extraordinary light and a cherished leader across our Jewish community. Her powerful legacy includes serving as Past President of the Alpert JCC and her role as 2026 President-elect of Jewish Long Beach.

🫢 She will be profoundly missed. We send our heartfelt condolences to her husband Jonathan, and children Sar, Gillian, and Max.
