So when care was unpredictable, your brain hard-wired:
“Relying on anyone = risk.”

That’s hyper-independence.
Not personality—neurobiology.

Healing means teaching the brain that help can be safe again.

You’ve watched someone grow up — you were there for parts of their story, but never knew the whole of it.

Reading I Wrote This for Attention felt like seeing familiar memories through a new lens.
I remember the sparkle, the creativity, the courage it took just to be seen.
What I didn’t always see was the pain underneath it — the quiet struggle this book gives words to so beautifully.

There’s something powerful about finally understanding the parts of someone’s story that were hidden in plain sight.
I’m proud of him.
And grateful he’s helping others feel seen in the process.
