We have some important updates

Dear Channel Qi Acupuncture community,

Included here is our Sick Policy and COVID:

• While the Covid virus, the new Variant, the Flu, RSV, and many other strong pathogens out there we still need to protect ourselves. These pathogens can be extremely damaging to the body both with or without the vaccination for Covid or the Flu.

• Please be aware; even if you have a strong immune system and are not worried about being sick, you can be a carrier of these viruses which can then be passed through healthy individuals who can then spread it to some of my elderly patients or their loved ones, parents, grandparents, etc. We also have a fair amount of people who have compromised immune systems to consider as well. This is basic science to try to prevent the spread of these viruses.

Please continue to wear your masks when coming into the office for your appointments.

• VERY IMPORTANT: If you are sick; colds, fever, sinus infections, sore throat, bronchitis please do not come in for your appointment. We don’t want to get everyone who comes in the office sick also. • If someone in your household is sick with the Covid Virus especially, Please don’t come in because you could be a carrier. Even if you’re not sick.

• We also offer Herbal Telemedicine for some conditions; i.e., colds, flus, bronchitis, sore throat, long-haulers syndrome. Call or have someone call to explain the symptoms and if we have the formula in stock we would run it down to your car. You would Venmo or Zelle the money for the herbs and a nominal fee for the consult.

• We are doing everything in our power to clean and disinfect between each patient to ensure we and others don’t spread these illnesses. It is impossible to completely control it though. So please be mindful about whether you are sick or not when coming into the office.

Update: We Are Moving, Only One Block West. Starting June 1st

Dear Channel Qi Acupuncture community,

• Unfortunately as a result of a combination of events in 2020, we have decided to scale down the office. With a lot of consideration, this is what seems to make the most sense.

• We will continue with the same hours Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. You can still use the square app for scheduling or text/call Joe directly. Same prices.

• New services: we will have a chiropractor on Tuesday and Thursday who has been practicing for over 15 years and he does Network Chiropractic which is amazing and Osiris Readings which are a way to see every cell in your body. Find out if you have vitamin deficiencies or allergies, and a whole lot more.

• Another New Service: Guided Meditation one on one sessions on the weekends. This is another amazing experience if you are willing to take advantage of it. Sleep better, better focus, less anxiety, heal digestive issues and headaches with meditation and so much more.

We have some updates

Dear Channel Qi Acupuncture community,

Just an update to our patients and community during the post-holidays regarding COVID-19:

• Safety is first. To protect everyone we are continuing to keep disinfecting the office, each room between patient treatments and all doors or areas which people touch.

• If anyone has been exposed to the Covid-19 virus or has traveled overseas or domestic, they need to quarantine based on the CDC guidelines.

• If you have a fever, cough, sore throat, sinus congestion, fatigue, or body aches for known or unknown exposure to the Covid19 virus then you should take the time to get yourself tested, treatment, and the proper care to get yourself well again.

• Get tested if you’re not sure and you think you were exposed. It helps protect us from the spread of the virus. Please make sure to wear a proper face covering when coming into the office. Studies show when wearing a mask it helps stop the spread of the coronavirus.

• Appointments may change soon; we may change the way we schedule appointments due to the current situation and only schedule once per hour. For now, Shelly may not be in the office briefly until this difficult time passes. She will be doing appointments from her phone. Anyone who knows how to use the appointment app may do so to alleviate delays in the office. Joe will have Shelly call you to schedule the appointments if necessary.

• New classes; Anyone interested in practicing Qigong with Joe can contact him directly at 917-803-5136 text or call. We are about to start a free trial run on the new website with online Qigong classes offered on Tuesdays at 6pm.

Channel Qi Acupuncture Now Open | Updates Since Covid19

Dear Channel Qi Acupuncture community,

Included here are changes due to COVID-19 and New Services:

• All patients must wear a mask or face covering to cover their mouth and nose to receive treatment in CQA.

• Changes to our schedule; please call or text at 917-803-5136 to setup appointments. This is temporary. The online scheduler will be back soon.

• We have some new services we will be offering very soon; online live and recorded Qigong classes through subscription service. Stay tuned for more info soon.

• If you are sick from Covid19 or know of someone who is sick, we now do telemedicine by appointment only with delivery service (optional) of herbal formulas.

• During office appointments we are doing more frequent cleaning between patients. All doors, bathrooms, and other public areas are being cleaned and disinfected between patients to ensure extreme safety for everyone.

• We are now taking many medical insurance plans for treatment. Workers Compensation laws have changed recently and they now pay for acupuncture by law in NYS.

• Please take $10 off your next treatment for any referrals to Channel Qi Acupuncture or use it towards a massage, herbs, or CBD oils. We are very slow now so the appointment times are pretty open. Mon / Wed / Fri appts available.
