I’m going to guess it’s tender 😳 Imagine if you had to hold a bowling ball on top of your wrist all day. That is exactly what our necks have to do😳The suboccipital muscles can become tense and tender as a result of our everyday lifestyle. Things like sitting in front of a computer all day, poor posture, eye strain, grinding the teeth, slouching in general…. all contribute to this common tension. Dynamic cupping with silicone cups. This is what a 9-5 desk job looks like. Client had reported tension in his shoulder blades and a tight low back. Working at a desk all day on the computer causes several challenges to our body. Long hours sitting can cause our hamstrings to shorten (tighten) which can cause our pelvis to tilt which can then, result in low back pain.😳Rounded shoulders are a common issue for many desk jockeys which over stretches the rhomboids and shortens the pec muscles…. often resulting in pain between the shoulders not to mention poor posture. The stagnation color on my client’s back tells the above story to a “T”.🤓 but he is taking steps to correct these habits👍🏼Desk jockeys…. Get up often, stretch your hamstrings, do some quick chest openers and shoulder rolls. Your body will thank you 😊 Then come see me for some maintenance 😜

I often preach about the importance of self care to my clients but am usually the first one to forget about my own🤓Overworking combined with the different stresses of life prevent me from sleeping well and allowing my body to recover. Just had an acupuncture session combined with some energy work. I not only rested on her table but also practiced manifesting good things to come. Left with some ear seeds (tiny acupressure devices) to help with insomnia. Then went down to the ocean so my feet could feel the sand beneath while the water washed away my worries😀This is a way I practice self care and I already feel better. Find what brings you joy and do that!! Self care is not selfish….. it is a true way to show gratitude for your life on this earth. Self care….. because it’s cool😎
