One of our hospice clients had stopped eating. Treatments changed her taste and nothing sounded good anymore.

One afternoon she quietly said, "I miss warm apple pie."

Our Caregiver prepared a soft, easy-to-swallow version. She took a bite... and smiled. Her daughter stood nearby in tears.

In end-of-life care, food is more than nutrition. Its comfort. Memory. Dignity.
