Here it is-
Cate joined the Skycrest team in September 2024. Before moving to Illinois, Cate worked as a dog bather and soon after found a job at a veterinary clinic in Georgia. This is where Cate’s love for animals grew even larger and how she found the career she has a passion for. Cate worked as a veterinary technician for a year before moving to Illinois and finding her job at Skycrest as a client service representative/receptionist. Cate found that she enjoys interacting with the clients and creating a welcoming environment for both them and their pets more than working as a technician. Outside of work, you would find Cate with her dog, Millie, or reading a mystery book.

Hallie has always had a deep love for animals, which lead her to become a Veterinary Technician Assistant. Although she is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Graphic Design, her passion for animals remains at the heart of everything she does. 🐾Carly, Client Service Representative 🐾

Carly joined SAC in August 2024 and brings a diverse background in animal care, research, and education. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology from West Liberty University in West Virginia, concentrating in Ecology, Evolution, and Organismal Biology.

During her studies, Carly gained hands-on research experience in microbiology, crayfish ecology, and zoo science labs. Combining her microbiology knowledge with her exotic animal handling skills, she contributed to efforts at her university to treat and explore a potential cure for Cryptosporidium serpentis, a severe gastrointestinal disease in snakes.

Her career experience spans zoos, state parks, preschools/daycares, and veterinary settings—including an animal urgent care. While Carly once dreamed of becoming a veterinarian, her college experience inspired her to pursue her true passions: fostering connections between humans and animals, promoting conservation, and studying animal behavior and training.

Carly has a special love for herpetology and has trained a variety of animals—including a water monitor, several snakes, and her husky, Nala. She also shares her home with two cats, a chinchilla, and a bearded dragon.

Outside of work, Carly enjoys exploring nature, visiting museums, aquariums, and zoos, and spending time with her spouse and pets. As well as, participating in a variety of crafts to promote her creative brain. She’s passionate about lifelong learning and making a positive difference in the world. At SAC, Carly takes pride in helping pet owners connect with technicians and veterinarians to ensure their animals receive the best possible care.

🐾Francesca, CVT, Lead Veterinary Technician🐾

Francesca joined Skycrest in 2020 as a Certified Veterinary Technician, and you may also see her helping out at our front desk. Francesca’s love of animals led her to become a veterinary assistant at 19 years of age. In 2012, she graduated from Parkland College and became a Certified Veterinary Technician. She has spent most of her career working in specialty and emergency veterinary medicine. When she is not at Skycrest, she shares her home with her husband and is a mom to 2 kids and their dogs, Asparagus and Vidalia.

Jill began her career at Skycrest in 1991 as a receptionist, eventually became a technician, and since 2001 has served as the practice manager. Her duties include payroll, inventory control, accounts payable and receivable and most of all, trying to keep everyone happy! She has an advanced diploma in Animal Homeopathy and a certificate in Animal Nutrition, and hopes her knowledge will benefit our patients at Skycrest. Jill and her husband Steven share their home with a dog, Ella, and three cats named Lady, Sparkle, and Violette. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her horse, Spirit.

Becca has loved animals for as long as she can remember. She got her start as a veterinary assistant at another clinic, where she quickly realized how much she loved working in vet med. Becca is currently in the process of going back to school to become a licensed veterinary technician. On her days off, she enjoys taking trail walks with her pitbull, Bear, or spending time with her family and friends.
