What a fantastic morning at Ruth’s House Assisted Living!

We were proud to host the Western Massachusetts Eldercare Professionals Association (WMEPA) meeting this morning and it was a FULL HOUSE!

We were honored to welcome Dr. Michael Laviolette from Evolve, who led an engaging and informative discussion on heart health in recognition of February’s Heart Health Month. It was an interactive session filled with valuable information, thoughtful questions, and great conversation.

Thank you to everyone who joined us. We were thrilled with the turnout and the energy in the room!

What a wonderful celebration yesterday at the Grand Reopening of Michael’s Café on the JGS Lifecare campus!

We were honored to hear remarks from Brian Zippin, Jennifer Pickering from Senator Jake Oliveira’s office, and State Representative Brian Ashe as we officially reopened this very special space.

Named in honor of Michael Frankel, Michael’s Café stands as a lasting tribute to a dedicated leader, longtime supporter, and dear friend. This welcoming kosher eatery is a gathering place for residents, families, staff, volunteers, and members of the broader community — a space filled with connection, conversation, and community spirit.

Thank you to the many generous donors who made Michael’s Café possible. Your support ensures that Michael’s legacy will continue to bring people together for years to come.

Thank you State Representative Brian Ashe for speaking at our reopening of Michael's Cafe!

We were so happy to welcome 2nd grade students from Blueberry Hill School for a special winter craft project with our residents!

Together, they created beautiful seasonal crafts, shared stories, and filled the room with laughter. The smiles on both generations said it all — these intergenerational moments are truly something special.

Thank you to the students and teachers for bringing such warmth and joy to our community this winter!

Today, we honor Dr. King’s legacy by reflecting on the responsibility we share to care for one another. At JGS Lifecare, this question guides everything we do—from compassionate caregiving to building community rooted in dignity, service, and respect.

May we continue to answer this call through kindness, action, and an unwavering commitment to others.

In honor of National Civil Servants Day, our residents at Ruth’s House shared a heartfelt thank-you with the Longmeadow Police Department.

Residents signed a card and baked homemade chocolate chip cookies to show appreciation for the dedication and service our civil servants provide every day. Karen Matz, accompanied by Delila Jones, delivered the treats and thanks on behalf of the Ruth’s House community. A small gesture for those who make such a big difference!
