Here's a Quick Overview of Endosteal Implants:
When you lose an adult tooth, it’s important for your dental health that you get it replaced. If you don’t, you risk teeth shifting, further instability in the mouth, and additional tooth loss. It may also cause damage to the underlying bone. One option for replacing lost teeth is an endosteal implant, which is often referred to as a dental implant.

Learn who would be a good candidate for an endosteal implant, what the implantation procedure is like, and how to take care of an implant once you have it.

An endosteal implant is the most common type of dental implant. The process includes surgically inserting titanium screws into the jawbone.

This is why flossing and brushing really well, especially along the gumline, is very important! Plaque is soft and comes off with brushing and flossing. When it's missed or left on there it hardens and is like concrete. At that point no amount of brushing or flossing will get ot off. This is also why it's important to keep your regular cleanings scheduled!🪥🦷
