"I have been a Physician Assistant for over 20 years with experience in vascular surgery, emergency medicine, and wound care. I have been with CCP for 3 years and a try to integrate a comprehensive approach to provide the best wound care for my patients. I get the pleasure of working with the most fantastic and well-rounded team in CCP and with the whole team’s effort, led by Dr. Mitchell, we really are focused on improving patients' lives.

On January 20th, our community liaison, Wendy Huddleston, had the opportunity to attend "Day at the Capitol", hosted by COPRA (Colorado Placement & Referral Alliance). I’m Alma Barba, one of CCP’s wound care nurses. I’ve been in healthcare for over 10 years in different settings. I was attracted to work with CCP because of the wound care innovations they provide to patients in the convenience of their homes.

I enjoy working as a wound nurse as it’s satisfying to see the progress of all sorts of wounds (such as chronic, non-healing, surgical wounds, etc.) to finally getting healed and being a part of the patient’s healing journey. CCP has a great team that works hand in hand with patients and their families to achieve one common goal.
