Bruno’s Update

In her own words:
“Who saved who? If you’ve never rescued a dog, you’re missing out. I’ve rescued four, and if space allowed, I’d rescue them all.

Bruno was my first foster — an instant foster fail. I planned to get him healthy and adopted, but he was far sicker than a skin issue. He’s a classic example of why backyard breeding Frenchies must stop; he has nearly every genetic issue this breed can face.

He’s had BOAS surgery, suffers from collapsing trachea, severe allergies, and extreme dry eye. His right eye still requires drops 4–6 times a day. He sees dermatology at CSU, ophthalmology regularly, plus his primary vet.

People ask, ‘Why not put him out of his misery?’ But he isn’t miserable. He’s the sweetest, calmest gentle giant. He never has accidents, never destroys anything, takes meds like a champ, and truly loves life.

Saving him also got me through some of the hardest years of my life. Rescuing is the most rewarding thing you can do — but rescues can’t continue saving dogs like Bruno without support. Help us keep saving lives. Donate today.”
