Do you need to soothe your nervous system? We can help. Experience deep relaxation with Craniosacral Therapy (CST).

💆‍♀️ CST is a gentle, hands-on technique that helps relieve tension deep in the nervous system.

Through soft, sustained touch—no more than the weight of a nickel— our licensed massage therapists are able to release restrictions in the craniosacral system surrounding the brain and spinal cord (aka the Central Nervous System).

Through this gentle manipulation of bones in the head, neck, and spine, we are able to normalize the flow of cerebrospinal fluid (the clear liquid found in the brain and spinal cord that helps regulate the body’s functions.)

By regulating the flow of this cerebrospinal fluid, we encourage your body’s natural healing processes while promoting deep relaxation.

Typically, a CST session lasts 30 minutes. However, you may add a Craniosacral Therapy treatment to a 60 or 90 minute massage to ensure you have time for other hands on work.

Massage is similar to exercise in that consistent sessions deliver the best outcomes. After your massage, check with your therapist about when to come back. It takes more than 1 hour of massage to resolve 20 years of back pain. Talk with your practitioner about your goals, scheduling, and budget needs (our no-commitment membership is a great option). Together, we will create a treatment plan that best supports you where you're at.

Keep in mind that a little soreness is to be expected the day after a massage. Staying hydrated, moving gently, and soaking in warm water will help you get the most benefits out of your massage.

The goal of taking a bath after your massage is to encourage the body to continue to relax and recover. Low heat relaxes the muscle fibers and promotes circulation, which in turn supports your lymphatic system (your body's natural detoxification system).

By adding Epsom Salts to a bath you introduce magnesium, which supports your body's muscle functions.

Did you know that your muscle tissue is softer after receiving a massage? This softening lasts about 24 hours, so strenuous exercise may pull or move the tissue and cause more pain or discomfort.

It's important to move gently after a massage and give your muscles time to adapt to the work that has been done. Gentle Stretching can be helpful for maintaining and restoring mobility, while moderate movement, like walking, can help to promote healthy circulation. Combine this with hydration and a warm soak in an epsom salt bath for best results!
