🏀 Did you know the Denver employ a full time massage therapist to support their team?

🏀 LeBron James employs professional massage therapists as part of his personal support staff and makes soft tissue recovery part of his daily routine.

🏀 Kevin Durant utilized friction massage and soft tissue therapy on his path to recovery from his Achilles injury. He has even invested in Therabody - a company specializing in self-massage tools.

Professional athletes know that every comprehensive sports medicine team should include a massage therapist. These professionals are crucial for optimizing player health, aiding in recovery, maintenance, and performance. They are often integrated into the team’s daily, multi-disciplinary wellness plans.

March Madness is coming to a close but if you're still hitting the court or feeling inspired to start... Massage can help with that. 🏀

Athletes of all levels can improve their stamina, accelerate recovery, and prevent injury with regular sports massage.

Massage is beneficial for athletes at all levels. It ensures muscles remain pliable, reduces the load on joints, and helps players maintain peak physical shape throughout the year and season.

1. Jump HigherMassage improves flexibility and range of motion. By increasing mobility, massage allows you to tap into a greater jumping power and more efficient movement on the court.

2. Sprint Faster For LongerMassage increases circulation. With improved blood flow and lymphatic drainage, the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscle tissues is accelerated. This not only speeds the healing process but also enhances overall stamina - meaning you can perform at a higher level for longer.

3. Less InjuriesMassage helps to relieve chronic muscle tension and supports proper alignment for those engaging in repetitive movements. Imagine the tension you put on your leg muscles, knees, and ankles. Massage can help prevent common injuries like ankle sprains and Achilles tendinitis.

4. Faster RecoveryWhen you recover more quickly, you can get back to what you love doing the most. Massage therapy helps to remove metabolic waste and reduce muscle fatigue, allowing for faster recovery after games.

You might be surprised by what you find in an old medical arts building. Phase one of restoring this historic Longmont building and transforming it into our expanded Be Well Bodyworks location is simply clearing out what has been left behind. Take a peek at some of the trash and treasure we've found so far. Not shown here is a full traffic light - that still works!

Thank goodness for the City of Longmont's Waste Wizard! With the help of this local resource we have been able to recycle and properly dispose of a wide range of materials. Our goal is to reduce as much waste as possible. We're even holding on to some old pieces, carrying forward the history of the building and the healing work that has been practiced here.

Let the work begin! Imagination, vision, and intention are in abundance for this project. We are pouring our hearts into the restoration of this historic Longmont building and we can't wait for you all to see the transformation!
