5 Pathways Acupuncture

5 Pathways Acupuncture Classic Five-Element Acupuncture for achieving wellness through the natural path to healing. In this way acupuncture can help with a multitude of maladies.

Acupuncture works with the meridians of energy found in the body using that energy called Qi. The manifestation of illness stems from lack of balance in the body. Each session is an assessment of where the imbalance is occurring and the use of needles, moxa and cupping to help the body, mind, and spirit correct the imbalance. The beauty of this medicine is its simplicity.

Cupping therapy uses gentle suction to lift the tissue and increase circulation to areas where stress and tension are stored. 🔄

By improving blood flow and encouraging lymphatic movement, it helps reduce pain, release tight muscles, and ease deep-rooted tension.

This natural therapy supports your body’s healing response, restores balance, and soothes sore, overworked muscles. ✨So your stress doesn’t stand a chance. 😉

Salt + Moxa

The Spirit Deficiency point uses salt in the belly button to create a flat surface for a larger moxa cone. The heat penetrates through your umbilicus, the place where we first formed, received nourishment, and felt love.

When life has you feeling depleted and beat up by the world, warming this point warms your entire core. It's like receiving a hug from the most nurturing spirit you could imagine. All that warmth, right in your center. 🥰

Moxa is a form of heat therapy using Japanese mugwort to increase circulation, reduce inflammation, and address chronic conditions. But this one? This one also feeds your spirit. ☺️

Why bigger cups?

XL cupping cups cover more surface area, perfect for large muscle groups like the back and shoulders.

Using the machine creates a therapeutic vacuum on the skin, just like the handheld method. However, we can also initiate a pulsing action, creating a rhythmic suction.

Cupping therapy eases muscle tension, reduces pain, and promotes circulation.

Using strategically placed suction cups, we increase blood flow to targeted areas supporting your body’s natural healing process.

Where do you think the most beneficial place to be cupped may be for you? 🫶🏻

What is this? ⤵️

This is moxibustion, an ancient heat therapy using dried Japanese mugwort burned over acupuncture points.

Here's how it works:
🔥 Ointment to secure the moxa
🔥 Incense stick as the fire source
🔥 Mugwort to deliver healing heat

The warmth helps disperse pain and promotes natural healing from the inside out.

Have you ever tried moxa?

Placement of the needles is precise and intentional. Taken into consideration are symptoms, pattern diagnosis, and root cause vs branch systems.

This is one of the coolest parts ⤵️

Local points:
👉🏼 Needled near the problem area
👉🏼 Reduce inflammation, increase blood flow, relax muscles
Example: shoulder pain → shoulder points

Distal points:
👉🏼 Needled far from the issue, often hands or feet
👉🏼 Influence the same meridian elsewhere in the body
Example: headaches treated with points on the foot or hand

*This is why you’ll have needles in your ankle for neck pain - and yes, it’s intentional.

Acupuncture placement is based on:
✔️ A mapped meridian system
✔️ Local + distal point strategy
✔️ Neurological and fascial connections
✔️ Individual pattern diagnosis
✔️ Both ancient observation and modern neurobiology

It’s precise, intentional, and highly individualized.

Case Study: 39 year old female ⤵️

Presentation: Diagnosed with Bipolar Mental Disorder. Medication isn’t working and the side effects are unbearable at a higher dose. Scared all the time, especially when manic episodes can lead to psychotic breaks. Currently needing help with anxiety and depression swings. Disrupted sleep is also happening.

Treatment: Support during transition with psychologist adjusting her meds. Worked with Spirit points to help ease fear. Seeing her weekly while mental state stabilizes. Cleared pretty major blocks in her energy weekly for 3 weeks. Noticed a pattern of anxiety spikes and sleeplessness.

Result: Within 5 months she was able to get off her antipsychotic medication. Sleep is better right after treatment. Starting to have longer stretches between manic/depressive swings and the swings are less harsh.
