Anthony Aka:Cowboy Holden

Anthony Holden also known as “Cowboy” was born on January 22, 1957 in Atlanta, Georgia and went home to be with His Lord and Savior on December 5, 2025, after battling a terminal illness at Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Texas.

He is survived by his sisters, Joel Cosby and Shirley Garnigan, brother, Daryl Holden, and two daughters, Aisha Fulton and Dietrice Fulton, grandchildren, Asia, Johnny, Javon, Jamir, Gia, London, Jadarea, Mikaylin, and one great-grandson, Amiri, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved him dearly. Anthony was proceeded in death by the love of his life, wife, Sara Holden, mother, Fannie M. Holden and father, Lovett Holden Sr., and siblings, Lovette Holden Jr., Delores Carson, Alvin Gary Holden, Larry Holden, Kathy Holden, and Gregory Holden. Anthony Holden was one of ten children and grew up attending public school in Atlanta, Georgia, where he went on to attend the Atlanta College of Liberal Arts and Science. Anthony moved to Longview, Texas after meeting and marrying the love of his life, Sara Holden in Las Vegas, Nevada on December 16, 2011.

Sara fell in love with Anthony after watching him perform on the streets of Las Vegas Boulevard entertaining thousands of visitors with his natural ability to sing, dance, song-write, draw, paint, and sketch portraits of patrons. Although Anthony didn’t always have a permanent place to call home, Longview was home in his heart. He made hundreds of friends by sharing his natural talents of sketching portraits, or painting murals on businesses around East Texas including the Tuscan Pig Restaurant and several historical buildings in Lindale, Texas.

He would be seen around town at local events, clubs, and the mall performing one of Michael Jackson’s top hits, maybe a song he wrote or sketching a portrait of a big-eyed child, but one thing was for sure, Cowboy was loved by many and remains in the hearts of our Longview Community. There was never a dual moment with Cowboy around. He was full of kindness, joy, and love for those around him. He will be dearly missed around town.

William l. Finney

“Beloved son, brother, uncle, father, and friend. He lived simply and loved deeply.”

William Finney was a strong hard working Christian man. Not only the hardest worker his family ever knew, but the most proud worker. He took so much pride in providing for his giant family. He was a proud U.S. veteran serving Vietnam and security guard at Securitas working for them for 25 years, before that he lived in New York and also working for a security company. He had 14 siblings, A wife and son and many nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycles in his free time. William will be remembered as a loving, confident, strong man, and may be gone but never forgotten. He will be remembered for his work ethic and humility that taught his family how to take after him to succeed in this world. We will never forget the kind of man he was or taught all of us to be.

Survived by:

Many nieces and nephews

And his very much loved pet birds

“Oh, so happy and bright! There is perfect joy and every lasting light. All the pain and grief is over, every restless tossing passed; I am now at peace forever, safely home in heaven at last. There is work still waiting for you so you cannot idly stand. Do it now while life remains, you shall rest in Gods own land. When the work is all completed he will gently call you home. Oh, the rapture of that meeting. Oh, the joy to see you come!”

William "BILL" G. Fletcher Jr. '58'

William Garland Fletcher Jr.

William “Bill” Garland Fletcher Jr., 58, of Longview, Texas, passed away on December 5, 2025, in the same city where he first entered the world.

Born on November 20, 1967, Bill possessed an extraordinary gift for turning strangers into family. His charisma, humor, and genuine affection for others made him a cherished presence in his community and among all who had the privilege of knowing him. He embraced life with open arms, a hearty laugh, contagious smile and an infectious love for people.

A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Bill is survived by his wife, Terri Fletcher; his children, daughter Taryn (Krissy) Nolte and her partner Corey Pierce, and son William (Joseph) Fletcher and his wife Brittny Fletcher; and his grandchildren, Greyson Nolte, Madi Phelps, and Raleigh Fletcher. He is also survived by his sister, Tina Perry, and brother-in-law Scott Perry, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and countless cousins who adored him.

Bill loved the outdoors and could often be found fishing by the lake or watching the Cowboys or Texas Rangers play with his family and friends. He found joy in reading his Bible and his favorite books. He was the heart of family gatherings—always ready with a joke, a hug, or a funny story—and his lively spirit made every moment brighter. Bill’s bar became a place of camaraderie, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

A man of humor, warmth, and devotion, Bill had a remarkable ability to make everyone feel valued and welcome. His love for his family was immeasurable, and he considered his children and grandchildren his greatest achievements. He passed on to them his joy for life and the love he carried so generously each day.

“If Bill met you once, you were family.” This phrase perfectly captures his spirit. Bill loved deeply, laughed often, and lived boldly. Though his absence will be felt profoundly, his memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Details regarding service arrangements will be announced at a later date. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the overwhelming love and support they have received during this difficult time.

Bill, you have left an indelible mark on all our lives. Your laughter, love, and legacy will echo in our hearts forever. You will be greatly missed. May you rest in eternal peace. Psalm 23
