The weather is getting warmer, meaning spring is right around the corner. For many people, spring means seasonal allergies!

For those who are looking for options outside of (or in addition to) the traditional OTC antihistamines, there are plenty of ways to help relieve or prevent symptoms!

Here are 6 ways:
1) Incorporating an air purifier or using HEPA air filters in your home to reduce circulating allergens such as dust.
2) Using probiotics may help improve symptoms of allergic rhinitis
3) According to theory, eating locally produced honey lowers your reaction to local pollen allergens from repeat exposure
4) Quercetin is a favorite of natural healing advocates who believe it stabilizes the release of histamines. It can be found naturally in broccoli, cauliflower, green tea, and citrus
5) Vitamin C, up to 2000 milligrams daily, is believed to reduce histamine levels
6) peppermint Essential Oil has anti-inflammatory effects that can help reduce symptoms of allergic rhinitis. This is especially helpful when the oils are diffused.
