All you need is a mirror and bright light to check for signs or symptoms of oral cancer.

•Remove any dentures.
•Look and feel inside your lips and the front of your gums.
•Tilt your head back to inspect and feel the roof of your mouth
•Pull your cheek out to check the inside and back gums.
•Stick out your tongue and examine the top and underside.
•Gently feel both sides of your neck and under your jaw for lumps or swollen glands.

If you have any signs and symptoms, immediately schedule an appointment with your dentist and primary care doctor for a professional evaluation.
