Congratulations to one of our outstanding students!!! Jake is killing it in pole vaulting and will be attending Western Kentucky next year to continue his academics and track and field! He is funny, hard working, smart and athletic! Blessed to have him and his family as part of Refuge!

đŸ–ïž Did you know today is National Crayon Day?

Sometimes the simplest things—like a box of crayons—can bring the biggest smiles. Watching our volunteers sit side by side with children in Guatemala, coloring, laughing, and just being present reminds us that connection doesn’t require a common language
 just a willing heart.

Moments like these are where joy lives—in the colors, the giggles, and the love shared across cultures. 💛

The impact volunteers leave in people, sometimes runs deeper than a dignified medical attention or kind service.

Our dear David Price has a very special place in Sartun, the kids truly believe he IS Santa Claus!
As soon as they see him you can hear them chanting “ho ho ho” and wait until he is done working to ask him to play with them
 which he agrees and they play ‘tag’ for as long as they can.

Not even the long way back to Antigua can overshadow what a wonderful week our team just had in SartĂșn!

The team of 27 people- between volunteers, interpreters, and staff, was able to do 14 surgical procedures and see over 190 patients in clinic!!
