With 4/20 MONDAY, I wanted to take a minute to share what the date actually is… and why it matters, even if you’ve never purchased a h**p product from us.
4/20 has become a cultural day that celebrates cannabis and h**p. But at its core, it represents something bigger — plant freedom, personal choice, and access to natural alternatives.

At Alchemy TX, h**p is just one part of what we do. We’re a wellness space. A place for plants, education, and options.

But here’s the part that matters for *everyone*:
When access to one plant gets restricted or misunderstood… it doesn’t usually stop there.

It opens the door for broader control over natural products, wellness tools, and the ability to choose what works best for your own body and life.
Even if you’re here for the skincare, the candles, the refillery, or just the vibe — this still affects you.

Right now, we are still operating under a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) with the state. That means things are still in motion — not settled.
I (Lauren) will be in Austin next week for a hearing that we hope will lead to an injunction and help keep h**p accessible and available here in Texas.

This is real, and it directly affects small businesses like ours.

ALCHEMY TX UPDATE

Hi everyone 💚

If you’ve been around here for a while, you already know the drill.
But I know a lot of you are newer, and found us through the Alchemy TX Vendor Marketplace—so if h**p is new to you, that’s completely okay.

H**p is actually what built this store… and what continues to sustain it.

At Alchemy TX, we’ve spent years working behind the scenes in the h**p and wellness space—advocating for medical freedom and the right to use plant-based options for our health.

And right now… we’re facing a big shift.

Due to new state regulations, we are being required to remove raw h**p flower, concentrates, and prerolls from our shelves—for now.
We are actively involved in advocacy and legal efforts to fight this, but in the meantime:

👉 Monday, March 30 will be the LAST day for h**p flower sales (temporarily).

Why this matters (and why I care so much):

A lot of people use h**p in different ways—and not everyone can do edibles.

Some of our clients:
• Can’t process gummies or drinks due to digestion issues
• Deal with blood sugar regulation or diabetes
• Have gut inflammation or enzyme deficiencies
• Struggle with tinctures because of oral health, reflux, or absorption issues

For those people… inhalation is sometimes the most effective and controllable option.

It allows them to:
• Feel effects quickly
• Adjust in real time
• Avoid long-lasting discomfort from edibles that don’t sit right

This isn’t about trends—it’s about access and personalization.

And this is the part most people don’t realize…

H**p flower isn’t “just h**p.”

Just like roses have different varieties… so does h**p.
Different strains can support different outcomes—calming, uplifting, appetite support, focus, sleep, and more.

I have clients who come to me looking for specific strains so they can:
• Make their own tinctures
• Create topicals
• Customize their wellness routines

Even people in medical programs often can’t access the exact varieties they need, and this has been one way to bridge that gap.

Taking this away doesn’t just remove a product…
It removes options, control, and accessibility.

🌿✨ Breaking Barriers in Ohio’s Cannabis Industry ✨🌿

In an industry where diversity is still far too rare, one trailblazing Black woman in Ohio is making history — becoming the only Black woman licensed to grow, dispense, and sell cannabis in the entire state.

Her journey didn’t start with easy access or open doors. It began with determination, grit, and a mission to create space in an industry that has historically excluded Black entrepreneurs — especially Black women.

From navigating strict regulations to building a business from the ground up, she continues to break ceilings, create opportunities, and open pathways for future minority business owners. Her work not only reshapes Ohio’s cannabis landscape but also highlights why representation matters in every industry.

She stands as a reminder that:
💪🏾 Access matters
🏢 Ownership matters
👩🏾‍🌾 Black women belong in every sector — including cannabis
