The Greater Longview Optimal Wellness - GLOW Steering Committee, along with leaders from across Texas, recently gathered for the final statewide TACHI Convening to reflect on five years of community-led progress and collaboration.
Jeanette Geddie, SHR Chief Operating Officer, serves on the GLOW Steering Committee.
Created in 2020 with support from a grant provided by the Episcopal Health Foundation, the GLOW collaborative focuses on supporting individuals who frequently utilize emergency services — often due to social determinants of health or limited access to appropriate care. By connecting these individuals with the right resources and services, GLOW works to improve health outcomes while reducing unnecessary emergency department visits.
GLOW is made possible through strong partnerships among Gregg County, the City of Longview (Backbone Organization), CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Health System, Longview Regional Medical Center, Community Healthcore, Special Health Resources, Greater Longview United Way and Wellness Pointe.
While the formal TACHI initiative is concluding, the work continues as our community remains committed to collaboration, shared learning and building healthier pathways for those we serve.
