We accept Medicaid, Medicare and most private insurance plans. We also offer self-pay fee discounts based on income & household size. With locations in Longview, Tyler, Texarkana and Paris, Special Health Resources provides patients throughout East Texas with the highest quality comprehensive care. Meet Blain Narramore, Director of Finance at Special Health Resources!

Blain serves as director of finance and has been with SHR for 28 years. He began his journey with SHR as an original board member and helped found the organization and later served as a medical case manager and housing coordinator before moving to the finance department, where he was a financial assistant and then assistant controller before advancing to his new role.

Blain earned a Bachelor degree in Accounting/ Business Management from Stephen F. Austin State University.

In his free time, he enjoys watching old movies, going to estate sales, traveling and cooking.

Meet Ernesto Guevara, Compliance Officer at Special Health Resources!

Ernesto, MBA, BSN, RN, began his journey with SHR as a volunteer in 2001. After six months, he transitioned into a full-time role as a bilingual case manager. Over the years, Ernesto has advanced within the organization, holding key positions including AETC site coordinator, project data manager, staff RN, clinic manager and quality assurance/ quality improvement manager. He currently serves as compliance officer.

With a career spanning more than 25 years, Ernesto has been a dedicated advocate for HIV services, tirelessly working to improve the health and well-being of communities in Northeast Texas and Southwest Arkansas. His expertise and commitment have led him to publish and present at numerous national and statewide conferences on behalf of SHR. He is also a proud member of the Health Care Compliance Association.

Ernesto holds an Associate degree in Applied Sciences from Kilgore College, a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington, and Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in healthcare management from the University of Texas at Tyler. He is also Registered Nurse and a member of several prestigious organizations, including the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Golden Key International Honour Society and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.

In his free time, Ernesto enjoys spending quality time with his family and giving back to the community. His volunteer efforts include serving as an interpreter and preparer for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program with the Greater Longview United Way, participating in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life and contributing to the City of Longview’s National Volunteer Day.Reg go d
