It's important to train your muscles individually! You'll never know if you're compensating on on side if you don't separate them from each other from time to time.

Our trainers are very much loved! Took a moment to celebrate Coach Brandon's birthday not too long ago and you can feel the love. This is what community looks like. Celebrating birthdays, wins, and everything in between 🥰

Fasting, small spread out meals, one big meal with snacks....

Which way is the right way to pace your meals? The answer...
THERE IS NO RIGHT WAY.

You have to figure out what works best for you and fits within your schedule. For example, it wouldn't make sense to fast all day if you have to take medication with food multiple times a day. It's not possible. Some people have time to meal prep and they just grab and go all week. You might even have to commit to something just to find out it doesn't work for you. If you found something that works for you, never be afraid to share it with others! You might have some knowledge about why it worked for you but not for others.

All that matters is that you get an appropriate amount of calories from healthy food that fits your caloric/macronutrient goals.

Ever tried the trap bar?
It's a great way to mix up your deadlift. The weight becomes more in line with you rather than in front of you. Still works the muscles but a little less emphasis on the posterior chain. Give it a try!

Looks simple, right? Well simple doesn't always mean easy. The most simple exercises can create the biggest burn. Remember to take things one step at a time

Start small and gain big. It's not about lifting the heaviest weight possible. There is a time and place for that. But strength starts with building a great base. Don't rush the process.

Running out to time!?!?!?!

STOP! Quick and easy doesn't have to mean an automatic pivot to your favorite drive thru. Just because it's fast, doesn't have to mean it's not healthy. So let's here's a few a ideas of what that could look like...

Snacks: Protein shakes/bars, jerky, nuts, a grab and go charcuterie (the grownup lunchable), or even a couple spoonfuls of peanut butter
Meals: Rotisserie chicken from the supermarket and a microwaveable steamer bag of frozen vegetables, a microwaveable egg cup like Just Crack an Egg, yogurt with granola and fruit, avocado toast, or a classic PB & J

Fast and easy isn't unhealthy. It just means simple. You don't need some complicated recipe to eat well. You just need a few simple go to choices to keep in your back pocket. And at the end of the day, if you REALLY want that triple cheeseburger....just eat it. Consistency comes from what you can repeat, not what looks perfect.

Getting older is not a reason to stop working out. In fact, strength matters even more as we all age. Strength training improves our muscles, bone health, balance, and most importantly, LONGEVITY!

The stronger you are in your later years, the more capable and independent you are as well.
Age only defines you if you let it 👏
