Free GOSSIP HURTS MORE THAN YOU THINK: POSTER GUIDE FOR CHILDREN

Gossip can seem small, but for a child or young person it can feel personal, upsetting and unsafe. It can damage friendships, break trust and leave children feeling left out or judged. Many children join in without fully understanding the impact their words have on others.

Helping children pause and think before they speak is a simple but powerful step. Teaching them to ask “Is it true, is it kind, is it necessary?” can build empathy, strengthen relationships and support more respectful behaviour in everyday situations.

Why do children need to play? Because it's literally a neural exercise for the brain and body connection!! Why should everyone implement play and movement into their therapy and daily family routines? Our Brains, and bodies need the movement..our vagus nerve runs through our whole body and it helps us heal and feel better!! Lets talk. We have therapists that love to play. ;)

S something to consider.

Many parents expect calm routines to make children sleepy, yet the opposite often happens. When kids become hyper before bed, it is not defiance or lack of discipline. It is the nervous system reacting to timing, not behavior.
If calming activities begin before a child’s natural sleep pressure has built, the body may release adrenaline to stay alert. This second wind is a protective response. The brain senses a sudden drop in stimulation and responds by increasing energy, movement, and emotional intensity.
Young children have immature sleep regulation systems. They rely on rhythm, gradual transitions, and movement to shift into rest. Abrupt stillness can trigger stress responses, leaving energy trapped in the body. What looks like misbehavior is often the body trying to avoid an unexpected shutdown.
Better bedtimes come from alignment, not force. Gentle movement before routines, followed by a slow and predictable wind down, helps the nervous system feel safe. When parents adjust timing instead of pushing calm too soon, children settle more easily. Understanding this biology transforms bedtime from a power struggle into a smoother, calmer transition built on trust and regulation.
