It may have been cold outside but we had such a variety of chili that was able to keep us warm inside. Thank you for all the participants who contributed their amazing chili recipes and all who supported us in our cook off! The judges voted and Denise had the best Chili! Thank you and Congratulations Denise!

The team celebrated our Awesome Activities Department last month with our Activities Director, Kera Ramsey and staff. They bring cheer and brightness to the Residents every single day and we were proud to celebrate them!

Anchor Lodge traveled to Anchorage Alaska today. We held a group discussion about Alaska covering topics such as wildlife and scenery, with an educational video with general facts. The residents were tentative, engaged and actively participated by asking questions and sharing their thoughts! Overall, the activity was enjoyable, interactive and well received by the group. We also earned a stamp in our passports. Stay tuned for our upcoming travels around the world.

Sheila Moore was recently awarded Best in Ohio for Skilled Nursing Excellence Awards by OHCA. This year, there were over 200 submissions in the state of Ohio and Sheila was one of 7 winners in the state. Sheila has been at Anchor Lodge over 25 years and we are so proud to have her represent Anchor Lodge and Sprenger Healthcare.

Residents and Anchor Lodge had a blast at our first annual Paint and Sip making holiday paintings. Their individual artwork turned out great!

Our first annual Poker Walk was a hit! Residents and staff made their way around the facility, collecting cards and ending the fun at the pub. The whole facility joined in and had a great time!
