Richard L. Turner Jr., "Mountain Man", age 60 and a resident of Oberlin, passed away Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Mountain Man was born in Amherst, October 2, 1962. He lived in Oberlin most of his life and graduated from Oberlin High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Germany and other posts throughout the United States. Mountain Man enjoyed four wheelers, working on cars, driving his semi-truck, and early morning sunrises.

He is survived by his son Richie Gregory of Wellington, daughter Felicia Turner of Wellington, six grandchildren; Christopher, Azaire, Gracie, Aalayha, Jax, Amayha, his brother Johnny Turner of Oberlin, niece Angela Turner of Lorain, nephew Johnny E. Turner of Vinton, great nieces; Brianna, Rosie, Valorie, Essie, great nephews Ian Healy and Alfred, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

He is preceded in death by his mother Essie Brown and her husband Alfred Brown, his father Richard L. Turner Sr., paternal grandparents and a great nephew.

Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Thursday, July 20, 2023 from 3-7 p.m. Military rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9871 will take place 6:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Roseann Elizabeth DeCost passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023 from a sudden tragedy of a hit and run incident.

Roseann Elizabeth DeCost was born April 9, 1968 in Cleveland to Rosie "Rose" Elizabeth (Welch) DeCost.

Roseann loved spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed campfires, singing, dancing, joking around and sharing memories.

Those left to cherish her memory are her seven children; Lisa (Jeremy) Gonzales, Jason Jeffray, Oscar (Melissa) Zambrano, Elizabeth (Jason) Acosta, Joseph (Meme Tumpkin) Acosta, Christina DeCost, and Robert Luccio. Roseann also loved all 17 of her grandchildren; Isabella Gonzales, Mackenzie, Brooklynn, Travis, Kayden Jeffray, Aurea Zambrano, Genesis, Hailey, Lexamarie, Luzmaria Rodriguez, JoSiah Acosta, DejaNae, DeLynn, DeJon
Tumpkin, Thomas and Tyanna Edwards and Lyla Mundo. Her siblings are also left to cherish her memories, including her brothers Rex A. DeCost Jr., Michael D. DeCost, Jack DeCost, and Benjamiin W. DeCost, and also her sister Sandy M. DeCost. Roseann had several nieces and nephews; Allen and Dusty

Roseann is preceded in death by her mother Rose "Rosie" Elizabeth (Welch) DeCost, sister Carol F. DeCost, and her brother Charles F. Bond.

Larry C. Easterday, age 81 and a lifelong resident of Elyria, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, June 23, 2023.

Larry was born in Wellington on October 7, 1941 to the late Charles and Mildred (nee Lamkofsky) Easterday. Throughout his life Larry was by trade a floor covering specialist who started his career at the age of 15. He retired when he was 70 years old. Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and old cars. He loved watching his grandchildren play sports.
Besides spoiling his daughter, whom he loved dearly, he was proud of his son and grandson for following in his footsteps in the floor covering industry.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Barbara A. (nee Rourke) Easterday, son Mark (Sue) Easterday, daughter Dana (Dave) Valatka, grandchildren; Brandon (Samantha) Easterday, Kyleigh Valatka, Nathyn Valatka, Morgan Easterday, Lacey and RJ, and great grandchildren Carter and Kylynn Easterday.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his brother Gary Easterday.

Mark Flemming (71) of Lorain, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He was born August 13, 1951 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. As a young child Mark and his family moved to Ohio where he spent most of his time at Oakwood Park playing baseball with friends or working as a caddy at the golf course. He graduated from Admiral King High School in 1969. In 1977 he began working at United States Steel on the south side of Lorain where he retired from in 2010. Mark was well known throughout Lorain, and continued sports throughout his life. He loved to golf and he played on several softball teams over the years, as well as coached youth football in the early 1980’s. Mark seemed to see a friend everywhere he went, never passing the chance to talk for a bit. He will be greatly missed by many. Mark is survived by his sister Pam Flemming Thibeault (Robert), son Corey Flemming (Melissa), daughters Nicole and Summer Flemming and his five grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother, Delores Chambers Flemming.

Carolyn Chapman, 67, of Lorain went to be with her Lord May 31, 2023 after many years of suffering with a lung condition.

She was born October 15, 1955 in Pikeville, Kentucky to the late Curtis and Leona (Rogers) Justice.

Carolyn was a member of Toledo Road Church of Christ for many years. She enjoyed teaching the two and three year olds Sunday Class. Carolyn was devoted to her church and her family until her sickness made it to hard for her. She loved her Lord and Savior very much. She also loved to read and even liked to attempt to write a little.

Carolyn is survived by her husband of 50 years James Paul Chapman, two beautiful daughters Laura Nottingham (Billy) and Carrie Boone (Thomas), five grandchildren and four great grandchildren, one brother Ronnie Justice
(Betty) of Lorain, three sisters; Joyce Musial of Lorain, Janice Campbell (Charles) of West Virginia, Debra Clay (Brent) of North Ridgeville, five nieces, four nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sisters Gladys Fox and Tammy Potts, nieces Christin Fox and Katelyn Potts, grandparents Virgil and Fannie Rogers, Whom she loved so much, her Aunt Below (Beatrice Newsome), and her Uncle John and others.

Her Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at the Church of Christ, 1101 Lake Avenue, Elyria (Lake & Walnut) on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1 p.m.

She will be missed.

Ruben Garza Zamora Jr., age 43 and a life resident of Lorain, passed away
Monday, June 5, 2023 after an unexpected illness.

Ruben was born July 3, 1979 in Fremont to the late Ruben Garza Zamora and
Judith S. (nee Davila) Zamora. He was a graduate of Southview High School.
In the past, Ruben worked in food preparation at restaurants. He enjoyed
being a DJ and participated in the dance group Alma De Mexico for many
years. He also liked to play billiards and darts.

Ruben was a member of the House of Praise International, Mexican Mutual, and St. Lad's Club, all of Lorain.

Survivors include his sons Dominic E. Jones Zamora and Joshua Claus Zamora, his mother Judith S. Zamora of Lorain, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Ruben Garza Zamora (2008), his cousin Stanley Zamora (2000), and his grandparents.

Family will receive friends at the Andras Crematory & Funeral Home, 3900 Broadway Avenue, Lorain on Monday, June 12, 2023 from 4-8 p.m. There will be a funeral service at 7 p.m.

Ruben will be interred with services in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain at a later date.

Lamont Arthur Seymore III, age 31, beloved spouse of Kimberly Seymore, loving step-father of Presley, son of Lamont Seymore Jr. (Lani) and Jessica Thorpe, formerly of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 5, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Lamont's talents were many including his love of music. Anyone who met Lamont would not forget his infectious passion for "rapping" his favorite tunes or self-written lyrics. Lamont's drive to become a professional singer/song-writer will live forever in our hearts with his many recordings he has left for us to enjoy. Lamont loved to love. Anyone who knew him, knew him as a gentle soul. He enjoyed not only playing, yet being a spectator to many sports, including baseball, basketball and football. Lamont will also be remembered as a person who could always put a smile on
your face with his contagious laugh. He will be missed by many.

Survivors include his wife Kimberly Seymore (Presley), father & step-mother Lamont and Lani Seymore Jr., mother Jessica Thorpe, sisters Kaila Lupica and Jasmine Seymore, brother Bradley Thorpe, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Lamont Arthur Seymore Sr., paternal grandmother Linda McLaughlin, maternal grandmother Charlotte Thorpe, and maternal grandfather Wendell Thorpe.

Thursday, June 1, 2023 at University Hospitals of Cleveland after a long
illness.

Daniel was born July 26, 1979 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Frank Kiss Sr. and
Judy Carpenter Kiss. Throughout his life, he was a loving father and worked
as a plumber by trade. He was also an avid sports fan, with his love for
watching his children play sports and Ohio State football.

Gerardo E. Massari, age 37, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2022.



Gerardo was born on April 27, 1985 in Guayama, Puerto Rico to Primitiva Rodriguez and the late Esteban Massari.



Gerardo was an avid Motorcycle Rider, enjoying his Harley, gardening, and BBQing. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, whom he adored.



He is survived by his life companion of 19 years of Daiana Ruiz Mercado; children Mathew Ruiz, Esteban Massari, Gerardo Massari Jr., Aden L. Massari, Junniel Ruiz, Gerian Arami Ruiz, and Rosemilley Ruiz; his mother Primitiva Rodriguez, his siblings; Aida Leon and Gilberto Garcia and extended family. He was a true friend to many.
