Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week is marked annually between Nov. 16 and 22.

LCCAA’s many programs and partners seek to support those suffering from hunger and homelessness.

Directly, we operate the Produce Center on West 10th Street in downtown Lorain. Programs that support working families like Head Start and the Pathways HUB help keep family budgets balanced.

- On-site Withdrawal Management Detox Unit
- Peer Support

Call the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline for support and immediate attention. If needed, you can be referred directly to the Crisis Recovery Center for in-person care.

If you’ve received a disconnect notice from your heating provider, make an appointment NOW for Winter Crisis!

If you provide your account information when you make your appointment, a hold will be placed on your disconnection. The appointment must be at least 48 hours before the scheduled disconnection. Missing or rescheduling your appointment may result in disconnection.

If you need help paying your bill but are not in a crisis situation, you may qualify for HEAP and you don’t need an appointment to apply. Just go to energyhelp.ohio.gov.

No-charge service for children, teens, and young adults age 20 or under dealing with a behavioral health crisis.

Behavioral health professionals come to you to help calm the crisis, make a safety plan, and connect you with support.

You define the crisis. If it feels like a crisis to you, your child, or your student, call 988.

We help for up to 72 hours after the first visit and can provide ongoing support and services for up to 42 days.
