Hi mommies and mommy-to-be's :) My name is Lisa and I am the owner and operator of a placenta encapsulation business called Roots Birth Services. I am new to the area (I live in Camas) and am trying to get my name out there locally. To help that along I am offering a fantastic "Welcome To The Neighborhood" special if you reserve your space with a $50 retainer this month (Actual encapsulation can be scheduled for a later date/month pending availability)- $50 off all my services! This means that you can have your placenta encapsulated for only $125 INCLUDING pick-up and drop-off within 15 driving miles of 98607 OR only $100 if you choose to forego the pick-up and drop-off. ANNOUNCEMENT! Thank you to the beautiful families who have allowed me the privilege of playing a small role in their road to postpartum well being. It has truly been my honor. As of June 1 ROOTS will officially be relocating to the beautiful Pacific Northwest- Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA area. I am excited for this new journey and wish you well in yours. If you ever make your way up there please let me know so we can catch up and if you happen to know of anyone in the area, please pass my information along to them. I love the anticipation of waiting for the call that labor has begun! I have a first-time mama that is almost 39 weeks. She has a beautiful birth plan and I wish her nothing but super easy, fast labor dust whenever her little man decides he is good and ready to come...

SB 408 increases access to out-of-hospital birth options for the growing number of Californians who desire alternatives to hospital delivery. It provides on-the-job training and an entry point into the skilled healthcare workforce, especially for members of medically under-served communities. It supports the national priority to bend the healthcare cost curve while giving patients choice and expanding the availability of healthcare providers. The cost of a out of hospital delivery with a Licensed Midwife is significantly less than the cost of a hospital delivery with an OB.

District 32 includes: Artesia, Bellflower, Cerritos, Commerce, Downey, East La Mirada, Hacienda Heights, Hawaiian Gardens, La Habra Heights,Lakewood, La Mirada, Montebello, Norwalk, Pico Rivera, Rose Hills, Santa Fe Springs, South Whittier,West Whittier-Los Nietos, Whittier, and Buena Park.

Which do you think would interest and benefit you and your friends both now and in the future the most? Pre and postnatal exercise classes (group and/or individual), lactation specialist classes and personal house call visits, postpartum doula services, or childbirth education classes? Just received a message from Kat... "I have to say I am recovering so much better & feeling much more grounded/even emotionally." It's always great to hear from a happy mama, but especially nice to hear from one that had such a hard time last go-around (w/o encapsulation) and is doing so well this time. She made my day :)
