We are thrilled to welcome Thandiwe Chidawa to our leadership team as our new Director of Nursing. Thandiwe brings with her a wealth of clinical expertise, strong operational leadership, and a deep commitment to quality patient care that perfectly aligns with our mission.
Thandiwe is an accomplished nursing leader with over a decade of experience in skilled nursing and post-acute care. She has previously served as Director of Nursing at multiple facilities, including a 130-bed nursing home, where she successfully led nursing departments, oversaw hiring and training, managed staffing and scheduling, and ensured high standards of clinical excellence and regulatory compliance.
Most recently, Thandiwe has been serving as an RN Case Manager with American Best Care Hospice, where she has played a critical role in patient assessments, admissions and discharges, recertifications, end-of-life care, and extensive patient and family education. This experience has further strengthened her compassionate, patient-centered approach and her ability to lead teams through complex clinical situations with professionalism and empathy.
Thandiwe is known for her strong leadership presence, hands-on management style, and dedication to developing and supporting nursing staff. Her background in both skilled nursing leadership and hospice care brings a well-rounded perspective that will be an incredible asset to our residents, families, and team members.
