Medical care focuses on your vitals, not your whole well being. But, professionals exist to offer you this support and care.

Let’s be honest, how long was your last prenatal appointment?

This is one of the most common questions I hear.
Having a provider does not automatically mean you’re educated on all of your options.
Birth education helps you:
✨ Understand recommendations
✨ Ask informed questions
✨ Recognize when something is a preference vs. a medical need

Your provider teaches you how to be a good patient.
Education supports you in having a positive birth experience!
And loving yourself in birth means being informed.

Meet the Educator

I don’t teach birth education from a place of fear.
I teach from lived experience, community care, and the belief that families deserve honesty, clarity, and respect.

This work is rooted in love, for our bodies, our babies, and the next 7 generations.
When families feel prepared, birth changes.
And that’s why I do this.

Drop a question below, what do you want to know about birth education?

Cultural Birth Knowledge ✊🏽✨️

Birth education didn’t start in hospitals.
It lived in community, in stories, in the wisdom passed down from one generation to the next.
Much of what we now call “birth education” has always existed, especially within Indigenous and Black communities.

My classes honor that lineage while also teaching families how to navigate modern medical systems that were not made for us to succeed in!
Both matter.
Both belong.

Comment 🤎 if this feels important to you.
Being able to understand the cultural context within the medical industry makes a big difference in your birth experience. ✊🏽

What Happens Without Birth Education?

So many families say the same thing after birth:
“I didn’t know that was optional.”
“I didn’t know I could ask questions.”
“I didn’t know there were other choices.”
"I wish I knew!"

When families don’t have access to education, decisions are often made for them, quickly, during vulnerable moments, without full context.

Birth education is not about rejecting care.
It’s about understanding it.
And understanding is an act of love.

Double tap if this resonates 🤎

Birth education is for first-time parents.
It’s for families who’ve already given birth.
It’s for people who walked away from their last birth feeling confused, rushed, or unheard.
It's for families whom these systems are meant to confuse and not serve.
It’s for folks planning hospital births, home births, or anything in between.
And it’s for anyone who believes that love looks like preparation; not blind trust.
If you’re pregnant, postpartum, or supporting someone who is, this is for you.

Tag someone who’s expecting or thinking about growing their family.

What Is Birth Education (Really)?

Birth education is often misunderstood.
It’s not a checklist.
It’s not hospital rules.
And it’s definitely not fear-based.
Birth education is about understanding your body, knowing your options, and learning how to move through medical systems with clarity and confidence.
It’s about love expressed through preparation, not panic.
When families are informed, they make choices that feel aligned before they’re in the middle of labor.
That’s the difference.
