As I marked my 54th birthday a few weeks ago, I discovered a podcast featuring a friend who had supported my journey to getting clean and sober in 2003, despite our extended period of separation. This experience reinforced my faith, as it highlighted the reality that prayers are indeed answered. Furthermore, it resonated with me, given that my friend had not yet reestablished a connection with their faith during this time we had not spoken. I am filled with gratitude upon receiving this update, through the podcast as he has found God. My friend is the sole remaining individual on my list of amends. Thus, I have achieved a profound sense of peace regarding the current situation. The truth is that even if I don’t have the opportunity to make the amends it’s alright because I know he is on his journey. Praise God.
