November marks the anniversary of Limitless Nutrition, and we are celebrating FOUR years of being!

I love measures of time like this. Taking a moment to reflect on what has happened and celebrate wins.

In the fourth year of my business, I continued to offer 1:1 nutrition counseling, still focusing on athletes who desire a peaceful relationship with food, body, and movement. Beyond the identity of an athlete: the moms and dads who are struggling to feed themselves and their kids, the adults who want to manage their diabetes and heart disease while also working on sports nutrition, and the high school/collegiate students who want simplicity on top of school, practice, and social lives.

My favorite events have been offering in-person nutrition talks at local high schools and gyms, and conducting online webinars and workshops. I’m in-network with Blue Shield of California, so if your workplace offers this insurance, I’d be happy to give a nutrition presentation on how to use your insurance benefits (most likely getting nutrition consults for a minimal copay or for free!).

I was featured in a few different articles: SELF, Popsugar, Women’s Health Mag, and VegNEws. You can find them at the links in my bio 🎤

I am doing some BTS work for a couple companies, supporting them in their nutrition marketing and messaging. It’s also been exciting to help develop new opportunities for RDs of color.

In June, I started my official Chair year for , and it’s been so much fun. I love leading a team like this, bringing a wide range of continuing education topics to dietitians who want to be more than just their jobs, managing a budget and Plan of Work, and writing monthly and quarterly Chair letters to our membership.

Thank you for being here, for supporting an Asian-owned, woman-owned small business, for continuing to be curious and willing to learn, and for being a part of the Limitless Nutrition community. Whether you’re a past or present client, colleague, share my information with loved ones in your lives, or participate in the Friday polls, you are a part of this! So thank you, thank you, thank you.

My post, one week later, because that’s how long it’s taken me to recover. 😅

FNCE feels like a four day sprint: it’s jam-packed with Nutrition Entrepreuenrs DPG events, attending FNCE sessions, checking out the expo, networking, and seeing old and new friends that I only get to see IRL once a year. Zoom just isn’t the same.

As Chair for NE DPG, I led our four-hour meeting on Saturday morning, emcee’d our Sunday evening Shine & Dine Networking event, spoke up at our DPG/MIG Chair breakfast on Monday, and welcomed new members to NE at Monday night’s DPG/MIG showcase.

Between delicious meals, networking events, morning runs, bouldering, continuing ed sessions, and sampling new foods and bevvies at expo, you can see why I needed the week to recover! But it was all worth it.

My heart is full, my belly is happy, and I’m hopeful about what comes next. Looking forward to Nashville in 2025!

(also, as some of you saw via stories, swipe for all the food-inspired looks I rocked at FNCE 🍅🍋🍇🍐🍓🍊🐟and my shirt!)

Happy RDN Day! Popping in to your feed, not stories (*gasp*) to remind you that Registered Dietitian Nutritionists must:
- complete the minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- do 1200 hours of supervised practice in a dietetic internship (often unpaid)
- pass a national board exam
- maintain at least 75 hours of continuing education every five years (and we usually do more than this!)

As a Chinese American, I’m part of the 5% of RDNs who identify as Asian, and we need to do more to within the profession. When health professionals look like you and understand your culture, health outcomes are improved.

As a weight-inclusive dietitian, I’m working to fight anti-fat bias by redefining health on my clients’ terms, not what the BMI chart says. (Check out ’s professional membership for CPEU opportunities)

As a sports nutritionist, I’m helping athletes improve their performance, both on and off the field, through fun and engaging strategies while not demonizing foods.

As a Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, I connect with clients to find freedom with food, discover joy with movement and rest, and reevaluate how bodies exist in this world and what we get to do with ours.

Check out my stories for some reposts and shares of folks I admire who have a beautiful way with words!

Hi everyone! If we’ve met before, hi again! If we haven’t, I’d love to get to know you. I always like an intro post, or re-intro post, so here’s mine through emojis. And I’d love to see your emoji and corresponding fun fact!

✌️I was first introduced to nutrition as a career when I interned with a USC sports dietitian and thought it was SO cool to work with athletes. I switched my major from Biomedical Engineering to Human Biology with a Nutrition and Metabolism emphasis (yep, still a mouthful) and never looked back.

🐉 I went on to get my Masters in Human Nutrition at Drexel University, where I was surrounded with folks who wanted to become registered dietitians and I loved it. Philly will always have a special place in my heart.

📚I loved to read as a kid, and always did the summer library reading challenges that earned a burger at In-N-Out! Now I’m part of two book clubs (one with my family and one with friends from back home) to help keep me on track so I take the time to read for fun.

🐔I was born in the Year of the Rooster. I grew up speaking Cantonese as my first language, but once I got to kindergarten, I was speaking only English trying my hardest to get rid of my accent. Now, I try to practice Cantonese with my parents, but it’s more of a broken Cantonese/English. I give compassion to my younger self for wanting to fit in and assimilate.

🍚My nutrition philosophy has evolved over time, and I know it’ll continue to keep changing. I used to think nutrition meant you could prevent everything disease-related (hence, registered dietitian vs. going med school route), and that you were "holier than thou if you valued health above all else". But as I learn more from those around me who have been doing the work on topics such as social determinants of health, diet culture, healthism, weight-centric care vs weight-inclusive care, ableism, fatphobia, body autonomy, to name a few, I realize the harm that I’ve done. Now that I know better (and keep learning every day!), I am working to do better. I’m not the expert on your body, you are.

This week was our wrap-up session for the No Limits Support Group (had to photoshop our missing member in 😂). Starting in January, I felt honored to lead and guide this group through a non-diet approach to health and wellness these past few months.

We explored what diet culture is, and how it shows up (read: everywhere). We discussed some of the principles of intuitive eating, learning about giving ourselves unconditional permission to eat and how to increase awareness with our eating. And we began the convo on body image (though we barely scratched the surface, more to come on this later). Lastly, we always ended with tangible sports nutrition tips that could be applied from week to week.

It’s been a beautiful journey, and I’m proud of everyone’s ability to step up and be vulnerable, sharing stories and experiences from their lives to bring to the group.

As one participant shared: “It is literally nutrition education, a support group, and food therapy, all wrapped into one.”

We’ll be kicking off Cohort #2 in two weeks: starting Tuesday, April 11th. We meet every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm, held in-person at Amp Association in Santa Monica. Participants have access to an exclusive Facebook group and availability to me via email for support in-between sessions.

🚨🚨webinar in one week!! 🚨🚨

Whether you've been working out for a while or you're new to the intentional movement, you've probably heard trainers emphasize how the other 23 hours of your day are as important (if not more so) than your one hour at the gym.

We're often told that "you have to eat less to see progress" and that couldn't be further from the truth.

Join me for a webinar on why you should be eating more. It'll be a fun and interactive webinar where you will leave with tangible takeaways that you can start applying immediately.

It'll be held virtually over Zoom, Thursday, March 23rd at 6:00 pm. Register at https://limitlessnutrition.as.me/webinar (link in bio as well!). And a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the GoFundMe for UCLA's Infantile Spasms Research: https://gofund.me/4bf0ee11. And if you have friends or family who may be interested, feel free to send this along!

Bringing my favorite topic back as a webinar!

I’ll be presenting on Sports Nutrition & Intuitive Eating Thursday, March 23rd at 6:00 pm PT.

Whether you’re in high school or college athletics, or love to run marathons or do Crossfit, this webinar is for you. If you’re curious about sports nutrition and intuitive eating, join me for a fun and interactive webinar about what a healthy relationship with food means. We’ll touch on each principle of intuitive eating and how we can support athletic goals while incorporating IE principles along the way.

The cost is $25, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to UCLA’s Infantile Spasms Research (you can read more here: https://gofund.me/4bf0ee11). This is the organization we’re fundraising for with .

How’s this for a 2023 goal?

☠️to diet culture

When we think about goals, what comes to mind for you?

Instead of restricting, how about adding more in?

Rather than run for the calorie burn, maybe chase a goal of running one mile without stopping?

Instead of focusing on shrinking your body, perhaps work to be in a better relationship with it?

There are so many ways we can use the energy of the new year, a new month, a new week, a new day. Let’s use them for good.

If you’re ready to make some different goals for 2023 than years past, come join me and others like you who want to change the narrative. Folks who are embracing a transformative way of thinking with food, body, and movement.

The No Limits Support Group kicks off in ONE week, and I’d love for you to join us. Fill out the interest form in the link in my bio, and I’ll send you the registration link and our exclusive members-only FB group. We’ll meet in-person on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm. Location at .
