Coaching or Psychotherapy?

This question has been on my mind for several years, and after recently completing an ICF-Accredited Coaching Program, and becoming a Certified Coach of Neuro-Shine Technology™, I have gained some clarity on the differences these two approaches offer for healing, growth, and interpersonal demand.

As an EMDR therapist, I provide intensive focused healing work for people with PTSD and trauma, seeking to resolve the lasting impact of past trauma, and learn to regulate their current emotions and triggers. This work is powerful and focused, and provides significant and rapid relief from past trauma and current impacts/effects of trauma.

As a Certified Coach of Neuro-Shine Technology™, I have found the coaching approach of targeting specific issues, examining and exploring the beliefs and behaviors surrounding these issues, and developing insight through powerful questioning assists clients to discover new beliefs, insights and actions to move forward in their lives.
