Creamy Garlic Chicken with Parmesan Sauce 🍗🧄
Ingredients:
For the Chicken:
2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
Salt/Pepper
3 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
4 tbsp Parmesan cheese, shredded
3-4 tbsp olive oil
For the Sauce:
3 tbsp unsalted butter
10 garlic cloves
3 tbsp flour
2 1/2 cups chicken broth
1 beef bouillon cube or 1 tsp Better Than Bouillon
1 tsp soy sauce (or Worcestershire sauce)
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp mustard powder
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions:
Prep the Ingredients:
Combine chicken broth, bouillon, soy sauce, onion powder, mustard powder, and thyme. Set aside.
Mix flour and Parmesan cheese.
Prepare Chicken:
Slice chicken into thin pieces, pound to 1/2 inch thick, season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Dredge in flour mixture.
Sear Chicken:
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 4-5 minutes per side until golden brown. Set aside.
Make Sauce:
Melt butter in the skillet, caramelize garlic for 6-7 minutes, whisk in flour, then gradually add chicken broth mixture. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan.
Cook Chicken in Sauce:
Add chicken back to the skillet, spoon sauce over, cover, and cook for 5 minutes.
Serve:
Garnish with parsley, serve with mashed potatoes and green beans.
