Diane Keaton will be deeply missed. She taught us so many things, but one of the most powerful was this: you can reject the idea of being the “perfect wife” and still become a mother on your own terms. 🤎

By adopting her children in her 50s, she paved the way for non-traditional paths to motherhood and showed us that families are built in infinite ways, all equally valid and full of love. Her legacy lives on in everyone who dares to create their family their own way. ✨🥹

There’s so much demonization of birth control right now, and I completely understand! Some people have had bad experiences with it, as with any medication. But here’s what I need to say: birth control has been one of the most transformative tools for women’s advancement in modern history, and we’re incredibly fortunate to have the choice to use it or not. 🤗

Birth control gave women the ability to:
✨Manage various conditions like PCOS, Endometriosis, PMDD & more!
✨Build careers on their own timeline
✨Choose smaller or bigger families and actually afford to parent the children they have
✨Leave unhealthy relationships without the fear of unplanned pregnancy
✨Reduce anxiety about their reproductive health
✨Complete their education
✨Have actual control over their bodies and their futures

Mavida Health literally wouldn’t exist without birth control. I wouldn’t have been able to complete my medical training, build my career, and then choose the right time to start this company. The same is true for so many women entrepreneurs, physicians, and leaders. 👏

The key word here is CHOICE. You don’t have to use birth control, but having access to it fundamentally changed what was possible for women. And that’s worth protecting and celebrating 🥹🤎

It sounds silly but we promise you, it helps! Go to a drive-thru and get coffee. A grocery run. Sitting in a parking lot eating fries. I don’t care where - just OUT. 🚙🍟

Have you been hearing online that birth control is “evil” and causes cancer? We have too, so we did the research so you don’t have to! 🕵️

Yes, Birth control is considered a “Group 1 carcinogen” but so are alcohol, processed meats, and night shifts. This means it CAN cause cancer, not that the risk is high. The breast cancer risk increase is statistically small, while the pill significantly reduces ovarian and endometrial cancer risk. 🩺

The pill changed everything for women’s rights: giving so many people control over their bodies, careers, and futures in ways previous generations never had. We don’t give up bacon or wine despite the same classification - so why the double standard? 🤔💭
