I remember before starting Anesthesiologist Assistant school hoping that the jobs paying $140k would still be available by the time I graduated in 2 years. Coming from a low income household, this was already more than anyone in my immediate and extended family ever made. Fast forward to 2020, in the middle of a pandemic, and those fears only got worse as the world slowed down. But to my surprise, in 2021, I was offered more than I had anticipated. I jumped at the high salary and immediately sent back my signed contract without negotiating (in retrospect this was a mistake). Since then- salaries, hourly rates, and PTO have all increased across the states for CAAs. All in all this job has given me and many others more than I ever expected. I try to spread as much awareness about anesthesiologist assistants and donate to opening new states so others can experience the same 🤞🏼👩⚕️🎥Credit : caalifestyle(TikTok)❤️ Like our page Nowaday Nurse Vibes as we share our experiences, offer tips and tricks, and connect with other like-minded individuals who share our passion for nursing
