Alpha Gal is not a bacteria spread by ticks, but an allergic reaction to the alpha gal sugar molecule introduced during a bite. The reaction can be fatal and also results in a severe allergy to mammalian meat and products. It is spread by the Lone Star tick. Please be cautious and use prevention when going outside. Please protect your little ones at school and camp, too. 💚 Thank you !

There is a lot of good science behind stabilizing the cells and healing chronic illness. Certainly, with our community, I’m always looking to find the latest in treatments. This new episode of the Lyme Time Podcast welcomes Dr. Melanie Stein and her advancements using Cell Membrane Stabilization Therapy, and it’s fascinating!

Cell health is definitely “buzz worthy” because it is looking like more evidence points right to the ability to target fatty buildup on the cell and its importance to well-being. We talk about specific scans and tests to articulate how your body is reacting to cellular threats.
Hear more about Dr. Stein’s specific protocol for inflammation and how she practices. She even goes deeper into strategies when dealing with insurance and how to better navigate that process. With over a decade of training, mentorship, and hands-on experience alongside some of the world’s leading chronic disease specialists, Dr. Stein has developed a holistic and highly individualized approach to care, one that addresses not only the physical body, but also the mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of healing. Her work centers on identifying the root cause of illness, managing complex co-infections, and supporting the body’s innate ability to recover through detoxification, organ support, and inflammation control.

Dr. Stein’s personal journey of overcoming chronic illness gives her a deep well of compassion for patients whose symptoms have been dismissed or misunderstood. She has presented at Lyme disease seminars, trained with ILADS experts, and studied with leaders like Dr. Dietrich Klinghardt, yet her most powerful qualification is her ability to meet patients where they are, financially, physically, and emotionally. She practices at the Restorative Health Clinic of Portland, Oregon. She is the author of Breaking Through Chronic Illness: The Science of Cellular Repair and the Path to Lasting Recovery.

Very few doctors choose to fully understand the effects of Lyme disease on our young population. What happens when a child suddenly isn’t acting like themselves with no real explanation? This episode of Lyme Time welcomes Dr. Somer DelSignore of Hudson Valley Integrative Health located in New York, though she also practices virtually, in order to gain insight into chronic conditions and our youth.
Our youngest population of Lyme disease patients need doctors like her who have dedicated their career to understanding how to read, test, and treat those who often can’t verbalize what is going on in their bodies. Often this presents as OCD, depression, impulsivity, and regression. She also treats teens and young adults with chronic conditions with a special eye geared at root causes.
We talk about differences in co-infections and how they often present differently in kids than adults. Another great portion of our conversation is Dr. Signore’s R.E.S.E.T. Protocol that has been proving effective as well as how ADHD, behavioral symptoms, PANS/PANDAS and Autism are confused with each other and often go hand in hand with Lyme disease. She also discusses first steps of action, whether a tick was found attached or not.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. DelSignore is Adjunct Faculty Member of MAPS, co-chair of Mothers Against Lyme for Project Lyme, and brings firsthand insight as a mother of two.

Tune in today on Spotify, Apple, and YouTube. Sending all those little ones extra love today.💚

An easy tool for at-home detox is the tongue scraper. The food debris, bacteria and dead cells accumulate on the tongue overnight. Lyme actually triggers a slower natural detox so help your body out! I have them on my website or at my Amazon store, links in bio. Side bonus, your breath will be more pleasant, too! 💚

Bartonella, also known as "cat-scratch fever" is spread through an infected animal scratch, flea bite, needle sticks, or animal bite. Once someone is infected, they typically will overcome the disease if they have a robust immune system. However, immune-compromised individuals are at greater risk for more serious symptoms as it can infiltrate the central nervous system.
If you tested positive for Bartonella but never experienced an animal bite or scratch, consider that it may have been passed down to you. How has Bartonella impacted your life? Have you found anything that helps?

For chronic illness: Self care can include an indulgent mineral bath with candles, eating a satisfying healthy meal, turning the music up and singing/dancing, or even watching a funny movie while you rest. First and foremost, share gratitude to those who have supported you, even if they don’t quite understand it all. Give back as much as you’re able to give today. It really feels good to be acknowledged, as we all know. Happy Valentine’s Day!♥️
