One of the hardest truths in adulthood is this: Acceptance does not require access.
You can accept that someone is emotionally unavailable. You can accept that someone struggles with accountability.
You can accept that someone cannot meet your needs. And still decide they do not get front-row seats in your life.
Boundaries are not punishments. They are clarity. They are you acknowledging reality instead of arguing with it.
Sometimes growth looks like grieving the fantasy of who someone could be and making decisions based on who they consistently show themselves to be.
You are allowed to restructure your life in a way that protects your peace. You are allowed to demote chaos. You are allowed to let people go.
