On this episode of what is Kira putting on her skin now??

This is a spicule treatment — also called liquid microneedling — and it’s one of my favorite things to add onto a service right now.

We use a freshwater sponge packed with microscopic natural needles that micro-pierce your skin and stimulate collagen production. Then I blend it with a resurfacing peel so everything penetrates deeper than it normally would.

It’s a little spicy. It feels like exactly what it sounds like.

And then for the next 24 hours your skin is still processing it — which means everything you put on top absorbs like a sponge.

The morning after? Glassy. Tight. My forehead lines were barely there.

This treatment is great for you if:

On May 16th, I’m leaving for vacation for 3 and a half weeks — the longest I’ve ever been away from my clients. So I asked myself: what would truly set you up before I go?

Getting to visually see your skin doing its job and work hard is by far my FAVORITE part of enzyme therapy.

This is the DMK plasmatic effect — a side effect of your skin doing exactly what it was designed to do: self-repair through the movement of fluids.

Everyone wants a hero product - I care more about a hero routine.
Because a “great” product can still fail if it’s wrong for your skin, wrong for your barrier, or wrong for the stage your skin is in.

A lot of people are not using “bad” skincare.

They’re using skincare that was never designed to truly correct what’s going on.

Drugstore skincare can absolutely have a place. It can help with maintenance, barrier support, and some mild concerns. But when it comes to chronic acne, persistent congestion, inflammation, sensitivity, pigmentation, or skin that just feels stuck… a random “good” product usually isn’t enough.

Because the real question is not just:

What ingredient is in this?

It’s also:

Is it the right fit for your skin?
Is it formulated well?
Can it actually be delivered effectively?
And is it being used in the right order, at the right time?

That’s why real skin change usually doesn’t come from chasing one hero product.
