According to this small study shared by Doctor Carlton] the monkeypox vaccine really works - the greatest efficacy 2 weeks after the second dose. It seems like LA County has expanded the requirements for getting the vaccine. I got mine 2 weeks ago and just showed up with my bottle of Prep despite not having a letter (attestation) from my doctor or fitting in to the other groups. I am hearing about more and more people just showing up to a clinic and getting the vaccine. So please take this seriously, get the vaccine and be informed. Doctor Carlton] has some of the best up to date information. ✔️

Someone told me that Sea otters fall asleep holding hands with their mate. They hold hands to stop drifting apart and losing each other while sleeping in the water. Otters fear losing their mate to another male while sleeping. Holding hands helps protect them from predators as they drift away from land. I wonder how metaphorically we can apply this to our own relationships…

Great Article! And I am quoted several times in it. Did you know that last year 45% of LGBTQ youth considered su***de? “LGBTQIA+ people are growing up in a heteronormative world, so they’re experiencing a lot of negative messages that can lead to shame and what we call toxic shame,” explains David Strah, a licensed marriage and family therapist specializing in LGBTQIA+ affirmative therapy and the author of “Gay Dad’s: A Celebration of Fatherhood” “Toxic shame is feeling bad about yourself or like there’s something wrong with you on a very core level.” Feelings like this, coupled with the fact that 60 percent of LGBTQIA+ youth who wanted mental health care last year were unable to receive it, helps to explain why the rate of anxiety and depression in LGBTQIA+ youth is two times higher than that of young people who identify as heterosexual”
