Stop over exercising and under eating before thanksgiving dinner 🧡 !! Or any dinner !
When we show up to a meal feeling deprived we’re inclined to over indulge in a way that doesn’t feel good.
:: WHY ::
Like almost everything in life, diet is like a pendulum. Whenever we swing too far to one side we’re going to over correct to the other.
If we’re swinging all the way to the far left (under eating, over exercising, eating super ‘clean’, restrictive crash diets) our body will eventually overcorrect to find balance, and swing to the far right (over eating, eating poorly, loss of control around food, giving up on trying to ‘be healthy’).
✨ Our body is responding to deprivation, and trying to ‘save’ us by jacking up hunger hormones.
💔 These dramatic swings are not only emotionally exhausting but they’re STRESSFUL on the body.
What to do instead >> Aim for gentle swings near the center ~ where there’s balance, nourishment, some joyful indulgences and body loving foods. Avoid extremes. And take care of emotional health as well 🧡
