Here’s what the science suggests:

🔥 Inflammation: Once inside the testicle, microplastics increase inflammation and oxidative stress → DNA damage to s***m.
🧬 DNA damage: Damaged s***m DNA reduces fertility and reproductive success.
🚧 Barrier breach: Microplastics can cross the blood-testis barrier, allowing more toxins into the testicles.

Research shows:
1️⃣ S***m formation: Animal studies reveal up to a 60% drop in s***m counts after plastic exposure.
2️⃣ Hormone production: Microplastics can damage Leydig cells—the cells in the testicles that make testosterone.

🧠 How do microplastics get into our bodies?

There are 3 main ways:

1️⃣ Inhalation — from dust and synthetic fabrics. When we breathe, these tiny particles enter our lungs and bloodstream.
2️⃣ Ingestion — from bottled water, plastic containers, and even seafood (fish ingest ocean microplastics—we ingest the fish).
3️⃣ Heating — microwaving or heating food in plastic increases microplastic release by up to 500%.

💡 Tip: Avoid microwaving plastic containers, limit bottled drinks, and choose natural fabrics when possible.

These small changes can help protect your long-term health.
