Our Christmas has felt quietly magical so far.
A slow, peaceful morning opening gifts, no rushing anywhere, just soft light and sleepy smiles. Time with family playing games and laughter.
Boxing Day drifted into board games. Scrabble, apparently, is the unexpected star of this year. Competitive, cosy, lots of laughing at made-up words and questionable tactics.
This is the kind of Christmas I want to remember.
Simple. Present. Enough. 🎄✨

24 hours in London to attend a Christmas party with my Hay House publishing family. So grateful to have such a supportive team, and it was lovely to catch up with fellow authors and meet new people. It was great to hear other creatives who share the same journey, all at different chapters, just starting, already many books under their belt and some new releases.

The Witchy Origins of the Christmas Tree
If you go back far enough, the “Christmas tree” wasn’t really a Christmas thing at all. It was an old witchcraft thing. A midwinter thing. A “let’s remind ourselves that life is still alive beneath all this darkness” thing. Over time, these old witchy Yule traditions were woven into what we now call Christmas. The tree stayed, the magic stayed, it just changed names.
