I was attending the IVAT conference in San Diego. Everything changed that day. Everyone was in shock. It was amazing to be together with friends and acquaintances from all over the US and many other countries, supporting each other, and moving through the day/days together doing what we could to achieve some healing, normalcy, support of each other and those nearby and far away. Where were you? Sending Love and Light to everyone today....and everyday.

New Book Features Chapter on Forensic Interviewing of S*x Abuse Victims with Disabilities

“Medical Response to Child S*xual Abuse: A Resource for Professionals Working with Children and Families” has just been released.

It has a chapter co-authored by Dr. Nora J.Baladerian, director of the Disability and Abuse Project of SpectrumInstitute. The Chapter is titled "Child S*xual Abuse of Children with Disabilities." Project advisor Angela Kaufman contributed valuable information to the chapter regarding how professionals can provide services that comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
