Something to contemplate...
Motherhood is work. Domestic work is work. Parenting is the work that makes all other work possible.
Breast milk is crucial; breastfeeding is food sovereignty. But it is not quite “free,” especially when we consider the time, effort, and troubleshooting involved. We need paid parental leave, a living wage, accurate breastfeeding support and info, and easy access to donor milk. We need our society to recognize parenting as the valuable work it is.
